Lamb Roast No. 3: It’s all about the butchery
After a certain point, everything I write starts to sound the same: we cooked a big meal, it was delicious, and we all love each other soooo much. Well, it's true. But boring.
News from abroad
I was going to say I've had a lack of recent food adventures because I was thinking of the gross cheese sandwich with that Italian mushroom pesto and a small handful of my roommate's five-cheez Italiano blend dairy product (sorry, Aaron, it wasn't much), but then I also remembered the fabulously heartwarming return-to-NYC fried-chicken feast that Tamara prepared to mark my return from exile in the sun country.
Mmmm, Montreal
Now I'm _really_ back. Echoing my May itinerary, I did a full North American tour in a week, swapping my bag of sweaty tank tops and sandals for leather pants and a wool sweater and heading up north to Montreal.
Winding (and wearing) down
Although I don't leave for another five days, I'm getting to that point in the trip where everything starts accelerating--pretty much all my reservations are arranged for the remaining nights, and my list of things to do is very small and manageable.

Glad to be back
Stereotypes (if speaking French really counts as a stereotype) were confirmed on my first visit to fair Canada. As with Mexico, except without quite so much delight, I wondered why it had taken me more than 30 years to visit a country that is so close.

So that dude who asked me if I partied... As the conversation got going, I thought, Nooo, he can't possibly be so sleazy as to hit on me, I mean, that's just too sad and predictable.
